UK pop superstar Robbie Williams has shot down viral videos claiming he had a white substance drop out of his nose and onto a microphone during live World Cup coverage.
The British rocker was appearing on a panel during a German broadcast of the World Cup final when a small white object fell onto the top of his microphone.

It didn’t take long for the internet to get a hold of the footage and immediately jump to conclusions on it, with countless people assuming it was cocaine falling out of his nose.
But slowed down versions of the video show the object appears to come from his mouth and, regardless, Williams later explained it was just a mint.
In a video posted to his own social media account, the 52-year-old addressed the incident with a joke.
“I’d just like to apologise for the object that fell onto the microphone yesterday. I was deeply unprofessional and people (are) worried about me,” Williams said sarcastically.
Then revealing two mints on his tongue, the singer added: “But it’s OK because I had several more.”
“Just woke up and feeling…. Mint 😀 x,” he captioned the video.
During the broadcast on German TV, Williams quickly noticed the mint had fallen out and picked it up from the top of the microphone.

He then touched his head and appeared to accidentally stick the mint to his forehead.
